Responsibilities:

• Work with CEO/COO to strategically plan HR initiatives that will benefit the company and encourage more efficient and beneficial work environment.
• Work with key stakeholders and develop and lead recruitment efforts for open or new positions within the company by making sure appropriate advertisements are placed following EEO guidelines. Ensure that candidate resumes are provided to stakeholders, coordinate the interview and hiring processes and facilitate onboarding of new employees
• Administer employee benefit programs to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, LTD, FSA, and 401k plans and communicate benefit information to employees ensuring that they understand benefit plans and enrollment provisions so that employees can make informed benefit decisions.
• Act as liaison between company and benefits vendor to ensure effective administration of benefits, plan renewals; conduct company annual open enrollment by coordinating with benefit broker ensuring that the best benefits and rates are offered to employees. This includes preparing employee information presentations and ensuring that all enrollments and changes are processed in a timely manner and that all Federal and state guidelines and laws are followed.
• Administers company HRIS system. Ensures that company policies and procedures are compliant with federal and state labor laws concerning employment.
• Liaise with Finance/Accounting to verify the calculation of the various monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies, ensuring that employee deductions are correct. Resolve all incorrect premium and deductions in timely manner.
• Promote a positive and open work environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up about issues.
• Regularly meet with employees to assess and discuss any challenges or grievances they may have.
• Ensure all new employees are properly enrolled in company benefit plans with the various benefit providers, and that all required new hire forms (tax, direct deposit, insurance, I-9 etc.) are received and that employee information is properly processed within the various software systems.
• Ensure that all eligible terminated employees are notified of COBRA rights by ADP COBRA department and coordinate all eligible employees COBRA benefits following federal and state guidelines.
• Process all status, benefit, and pay changes in an accurate and timely manner ensuring that changes are documented and processed to payroll.
• Prepare, update, and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance with state and federal law, security, and confidentiality of employee information.
• Assist with payroll preparation by verifying changes in employee status, pay, and hours and those proper deductions are being processed within the payroll system.
• Conduct annual reporting of company's 401k account ensuring that company follows state and federal laws. Respond to employee's 401k inquiries relating to enrollment, plan and or status changes and contribution amounts, ensuring that questions/issues are responded/ resolved within a timely manner.
• Respond to employees FSA account inquiries relating to enrollment, plan and or status changes and contribution amounts, ensuring that questions/issues are responded/ resolved within a timely manner, ensuring that effective utilization of plan and positive employee relations regarding plan.
• Develops and administers company equal employment opportunity and affirmative action programs, files EEO-1 and Vets100 annual reports. Maintain other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
• Maintain company liability insurance policies and coordinates with insurance broker the annual renewal of company insurance ensuring that company has the appropriate and required insurance coverage. Working with Business Unit and platform leads to ensure that all Position Descriptions are appropriate, and periodically up-to-dated.
• Ensure that all employees receive annual employee evaluations, and that federal and state laws are followed regarding annual evaluations.
• Maintain knowledge of all local, state, and federal employment laws (COBRA, ERISA, FMLA) as well new employment legislation, advises management and ensures that company complies.
• Maintain affiliation with human resources programs and HR organizations such as SHRM.
• Monitor administrative processes and identify possible enhancements for increased efficiency.
• Develop and oversee succession and replacement planning for the organization

Qualifications/Background Profile:
• Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and time management skills.
• Ability to work in collaboration and cooperation with all levels in a diverse employee workforce.
• Proven ability to build trust of both managers and front-line employees.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal labor laws governing benefits and payroll administration.
• Experience working with a diverse workforce population.
• Knowledge and administration of online training and learning systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, keyboard skills, strong documentation skills, math aptitude, diplomacy, professionalism, organization, time management, able to maintain confidentiality, ability to multi-task, able to work independent of supervisor
• Experience with Paycom a plus
