Production Associate Description Production Associate at Cummins We are looking for a talented Upfit Technician to join our Upfit production facility in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Marine based engines, generators, power units Assembly of generators, engines, transmissions, power units Install value-added components to engines and generators to meet customer requirements and design specifications. Production assembly, including drilling, bolting. Interpret basic installation drawings and work as a team to accomplish installations. Ability to read detailed equipment and part diagrams/prints of Cummins and OEM products and verify torque values referenced from established engineered guidelines. General shop maintenance such as inspecting extension cords, replacing air lines, general maintenance, daily JSA (Job Safety Analysis) reports, welder inspections and daily time sheets. To be successful in this role you will need the following: Ability to work in Marine Upfit / manufacturing setting Mechanical knowledge, Diesel Engines experience preferred Ability to use power tools, computer software and remove / install external diesel engine and generator components Must be able to physically lift, stand, squat, kneel frequently, wear required personal protective equipment as required and operate forklifts preferred Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience. This position will require a DMV driving report.
