You will be responsible for performing general systems engineering and shall understand the Sponsor's organization, goals, business needs, and enterprise architectures, with a view to securing and optimizing their environment. In this role, you will form part of a larger team responsible for the overall security and administration of a component's internal networks.ResponsibilitiesUndertake monitoring, auditing, patch maintenance, documentation, virus management, etc. to ensure that the component's systems are compliant with all applicable Customer security guidelines, procedures and regulations.Install, configure, and tuning products such as Apache Tomcat, httpd, and ActiveMQ.Track and manage systems access privileges and status. Establish virtual private networks, as warranted.Maintain component servers, to include patching, deploying custom OS images, and complete build-outs.Undertake deployments and migrations to cloud environments, as warranted.Required Education & ExperienceMust possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.This position requires a Bachelor's degree preferably in an IT related field 6 years of related experience; or a Masters with 4 years of experience; an Associates with 8 years of experience.Demonstrated on-the-job experience installing, configuring and tuning products, such as Apache Tomcat, httpd, and ActiveMQ.Demonstrated experience with authorization systems and user entitlements including role and group management to track and manage systems access privileges and status. Demonstrated experience with hands on knowledge of Directory Services, LDAP, authentication, PKI & certificate management.Demonstrated experience with sponsor data security standards and configurations to include auditing and encryption.Demonstrated experience with server maintenance to include patching, deploying custom OS images, and complete build-outs.Demonstrated experience using a deployment/environment management tools such as Puppet.Demonstrated experience with TCP/IP networking technologies and establishment of virtual private networks.Preferred SkillsDemonstrated experience with installing, configuring, and monitoring LINUX installations using standard Linux utilities, such as awk, sed, grep, scripting, vi, and comparable utilities.Demonstrated experience developing with and deploying to container technologies such as Docker.Experience providing a combination of project management, systems engineering, applications development, and technical support services including systems administration, server maintenance, operating system and related security patching.Experience developing a plan and executing a migration from standalone servers and hardware to AWS in the cloud.Experience with AWS, Linux, Jenkins, Java Spring, Angular, GWT, Hadoop, SOLR, & MySQL.Experience providing O&M support to maintain system availability 24/7 during the entire period of performance.Experience maintaining and updating the applications suite, to meet all applicable information security requirements.Experience providing engineering and development support to allow for change in scope according to mission focus.Experience maintaining server firmware, applying operating system and security software patches, and providing system health monitoring by interfacing with existing enterprise systems.Experience developing fixes and enhancements to existing application code, as needed.Experience developing a plan to merge the capabilities of two of the four small mission applications into a single, modernized web application, using modern cloud services and APIs.COVID-19 Proof Of Vaccination RequirementsTo protect the health and safety of its employees and to comply with customer requirements, ATS may require employees in certain positions to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or test on a weekly basis.
