Senior Associate, Consumer Marketing Risk Management

The Consumer Marketing Team focuses on marketing our Consumer Bank products through various channels, including both new and always-on campaigns. Marketing risk managers work through unstructured problems and manage change while demonstrating superior problem-solving skills, strong business judgment, and leadership presence.

Responsibilities

As a Risk Manager, you will:
  • Advise and consult with self-directed teams to help develop well-designed campaigns and processes
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with product/campaign owners, process managers, compliance advisors, legal counsel, auditors, and other risk managers
  • Manage multiple tasks independently to meet deadlines
  • Coordinate work between multiple areas and engage in multiple work streams, simultaneously; leveraging/influencing business partners to drive results
  • Partner with Retail Bank groups to document policies, processes, standards, and procedures to facilitate/demonstrate compliance with laws and regulations
  • Oversee risk event remediation impacting customers stemming from process breakdowns or other problems, developing permanent corrective actions
  • Support partner well-managed activities, second line of defense assurance reviews, internal audits, and regulatory exams
  • Maintain knowledge of the company's current payments technology, processes and infrastructure, along with knowledge of new capabilities in the industry and understanding the potential impact to Capital One

Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED, or military experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in Risk, Marketing, Process or Product Management


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • Business Process Management certification
  • 2+ years of experience in Risk, Marketing, Process or Product Management
