Job Description (Responsibilities)
- Reach out to customer leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and by answering RFPs
- Handle renewals for an existing book of business; perform needs analysis of current customers to create and pitch upsell opportunities
- Draft proposals and agreements that meet legal compliance and standards and take ownership of the negotiation process from beginning to end
- Effectively use Salesforce to enter all sales activity and opportunities, managing prospects through the sales cycle
- Maintain positive business relationships and create new business relationships to ensure future sales
Job Description (Requirements)
- Highly motivated and target driven with 3+ years of experience in sales (preferably within licensing).
- Previous experience successfully driving revenue through prospecting, discovery, pitching, closing and renewing business
- Outstanding presentation and communications skills, including negotiation skills
- Able to understand and leverage data; proficiency with Salesforce
- Limited travel to client sites or conferences as needed
- Affinity for Washington Post content and interest in emerging news-media technology
- BS/BA degree
