OverviewAxient is seeking a Aegis Weapon System Analyst to join our team in Dahlgren, VA.ResponsibilitiesDescription: Operational and technical support to integrate existing and developing operational command and control systemsEvaluate and analyze various elements of the Aegis Weapons Systems in support Baseline (B/L) development and modernization for inclusion in shipboard modernization effortsPerforms other responsibilities and tasking by the customer in support of the Sea Based Weapons System mission as may be appropriate including, but not limited to new threat modernization for future advanced BMC4I networksEvaluate the various elements of the SBWS (Sea Based Weapons System) and make recommendation to the Program Leadership in support Baseline (B/L) development and modernizationAbility to understand and be familiar with the maintenance and operations of the AWSDevelopment of test proceduresQualificationsRequirements: US Citizenship with Secret security clearanceBachelors degree inSTEM discipline or technical field7+ years of related experience in missile defense or other DoD programs/projectsAbility to apply analytical skill to solve complex analyses tasksAbility to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasksDesired Skills and Experience: Active Top-Secret ClearancePrior experience with Aegis Weapons SystemsExperience with Command, Control, and CommunicationsTechnical experience in one of the following areas: Fleet operations, systems engineering, modeling and simulation, missile systems, Aegis Qualifications, etc.Must meet applicable COVID safety requirements and protocols Applicants for positions which require a US government security clearance or access must meet eligibility requirements to include US citizenship.This company is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer as defined by the EEOC.
