The functions include risk identification, risk appetite, portfolio construction and asset allocation strategies, and management of concentration, correlation and specialized risks and the associated risk mitigation. The team provides independent risk management and governance. The Group works closely with the business and various other key constituents to build out a comprehensive and proactive approach to portfolio management that promotes a strong risk management culture, aligned with US Banks risk appetite.The Project / Risk Manager, as a part of Credit Risk Management, leads and provide direction and guidance and execution for a wide array of Wholesale Portfolio Risk Management strategic initiatives. Focus is on project planning and management to ensure that projects are completed to meet strategic objectives in a timely manner and to defined specifications. Working closely with Head of Wholesale Portfolio Management and other key team leaders, manage end to end project activities such as ensuring objectives met, project planning and timelines, coordination of key stakeholders, issue / risk identification and tracking, scope management, estimation, and other project documentation preparation for projects of high business complexity involving analytical projects in credit risk, portfolio management, credit products and derivatives. Using prior risk experiences, the candidate defines and manages the lifecycle from project initiation through to program closure. Manages and resolves risks, issues and dependencies. Measures and monitors project actuals costs, forecasts and budgets and updates plans with accurate, up-to-date information in a timely manner.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience10 or more years of applicable experiencePreferred Skills/ExperienceA Bachelor's / Master's degree or higher in technical field such as business, finance, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or statistics10+ years of experience in banking and/or project management.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is beneficial.Good knowledge and understanding of financial markets/products and in particular counterparty or derivatives productAbility to develop a portfolio or strategy to determine drivers of performance and develop framework to assist with risk and portfolio managementSkilled at independently researching topics using all means available to discover relevant informationStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
