As a Big Data Financial Consultant, you will be responsible for providing support in further developing the customer's cost models and monitoring resource execution to drive cost savings and efficiencies in support of the mission! Click APPLY to be contacted about this position What You Will Be Doing: * Routinely engaging with senior leadership. * Providing the customer with strategic consulting and resource management services, enabling the customer to operate more effectively and efficiently. * Converting large amounts of detailed financial data into meaningful and usable financial information for senior leadership decision making. * Maintaining spend plans and corresponding trend/expenses reports for internal centers of operations. * Contributing in a meaningful manner at high level meetings to produce important documents that clearly and concisely communicate organizational needs to other units within the customer's organization and partners. * Drafting Congressional Notifications, impact statements, and submissions for Congressional - level budget justifications, budget execution briefing slides, memos, and email correspondence, and will routinely engage with senior executives within the division as well as externally. * Being responsible for the development, management, and manipulation of highly complex excel spreadsheets and costs models to aid in the sustainment of ongoing office programs. * Examining the Trend reports provided by Finance to update and maintain spend plans and various reports for management. * Generating ad-hoc reports from applicable data repositories in order to assess planned vice actual performance in order to assist component management in applying resources at the most significant point of impact. * Performing detailed financial analysis of resources and the associated impact if funding levels are reduced. * Working closely with division partners, to include senior leadership, to develop strategic plans and cost models for forecasting in comparison to historical fiscal data, ensuring spend plans/expenditures are in compliance. * Understanding and providing guidance on financial regulations/policies. * Tracking execution rates against spend plans and other reports and notifying management if any deficit/surplus occurs. Must Have: * MUST HAVE a Current and Active Top Secret SCI with Full Scope Polygraph, as the customer is NOT sponsoring clearances. * Experience with SharePoint and proficiency with the Microsoft Suite, especially Excel. * Experience and skills necessary to prepare pivot tables and charts that graphically display financial information converted from detailed data into clearly communicated meaningful information. * Professionalism when dealing with very senior partners. * Ability to work well with people from diverse cultures and levels of responsibilities (from individual non-supervisors to senior leadership at Division-level, Group-level, Office-level, or higher-levels). * On-the-job experience and intermediate skills with Excel (experience with formulas, filtering, and pivot tables). * Strong written and verbal skills. * Experience in budget office negotiations with both internal and external groups or agencies. * The confidence and ability to represent the Group intentions and concerns when participating in meetings and discussions to foster strong interdepartmental relations concerning the unit resources, funding, and requirements. * An advanced degree of competency in financial matters.
