The company is headquartered in Dunkirk, MD and is supported by its three regional offices to execute innovative facilities and infrastructure solutions throughout the world.PATRIOT is looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Fort Belvoir, VA. The ideal candidate should have a strong track record on profitability, quality standards, and effective relationship building.Requirements:Minimum of three (4) years' experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager or degree in Engineering or Contract Management and two (2) years' experience in general construction.Strong computer skills required.Ability to interpret design documentation, specifications, plans, and drawings.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products to include ProjectEffective communication skills both written and verbal.Experience in producing and maintaining cost-loaded schedulesMust have a valid driver's licenseMust be able to pass Federal background check for access to government and Department of Defense bases and facilitiesKey Accountabilities:Review, submit, and maintain submittals and submittal logsAssist the Quality Control Manager with the submittal process in accordance with specificationsAssist the Project Manager with schedule preparation and implementation, document creation and review, and other tasks as assignedOversee/Manage project closeout to completion.Track, identify and control construction costs against budget to avoid cost overruns.Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of project financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals.Attend progress meetings as necessary and visit jobsites as needed.Review and discuss crew requirements with superintendent Review and discuss production requirements to meet budget with field supervisors.Discuss with superintendent the crew's production for each work week.Attend Pre-bids and become familiar with project logistics and requirements.Engage in occasional industry networking to develop and maintain relationships with owner, contractors, and suppliers.Ability to Read and write in EnglishAssist in preparing and submitting monthly invoicesAttend meetings with the client in accordance with contract documentsExperience in structural steel buildings preferredExperience in ground up construction preferredGraduate with degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferredPATRIOT is an equal opportunity employer.
