Meta is seeking a New Product Development Program Manager, Data Center Design to be part of the Data Center Design, Global Program and Process team. This team provides world-class management services to the Data Center Design organization, including information management, oversight on strategic, high-impact projects, and collaborating to improve future process structures. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our software operates enabling innovation for the company. Building and operating data centers the "right" way from the day they go live is synonymous with ensuring capacity availability and capital conservatism. The data center design team approaches facility design from the chips on the server boards to the facility mechanical and electrical distribution systems which ensure and maximize efficiency of our compute infrastructure. This position is full-time. New Product Development Program Manager, Data Center Design Responsibilities: * Manage the execution of global, complex, first-of-kind cross-disciplinary engineering projects in direct support of the New Product Development and New Builds organizations * Build alignment and provide oversight for programmatic design and engineering efforts and business improvement efforts through comprehensive project and/or program management from project scoping through execution * Develop schedules, including dependencies and contingencies, despite future uncertainty * Engage and influence high-performing contributors, resolving conflicts and negotiating outcomes for the betterment of the broader initiative * Develops budgets and complex business case analysis * Develop program success criteria and reports progress, proactively addressing negative trends * Leverages a creative use of process, tooling, or other business mechanisms to improve outcomes or productivity * Supports the team in document and information management across teams * Creates policy and process related documentation * Drives maturity of project management practices across the program, identifying when and how far to standardize * Develop and implement a vision and roadmap for a team of project managers focused on the development and iteration of programmatic designs * Leverage project management experience and best practices to develop, implement, and evolve scalable project management process improvements across multiple internal and external teams. Researches and implements emerging project and program management techniques * Support the team in change management processes * Travel in support of team objectives, including to data center sites as needed * Responds on an as-needed basis to emergencies * Engage with corporate user groups and stakeholders, such as operations, security, logistics, etc. * Leverage engineering & construction industry knowledge and expertise to make and deliver recommendations on key strategic questions and initiatives, even when there is incomplete data or insufficient time to drive an analysis through to conclusion * Coach and mentor teams, and conduct & develop training programs to contribute to capability building and knowledge sharing (project management, requirements gathering, business processing modeling, etc.) Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field * PMP certification, or country equivalent * Minimum ten (10) years of global project or program management in a global organization * Experience in establishing program management frameworks for new initiatives * Experience working autonomously, showing entrepreneurial and strategic capabilities * Minimum of five (5) years with mission critical engineering and construction processes (data centers, healthcare, etc.) including mechanical, electrical, architectural, and associated documentation standards * Experience maintaining, analyzing, and retrieving clear and accurate data, records, and reports * Experience solutioning problems in a matrixed, consensus driven organization * Detailed-oriented, having organizational and productivity skills * Experience with conflict management across diverse stakeholder groups * Experience with effective use of communications skills * Experience with formal change management processes * Fluent in English Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree in Business, Architecture, Engineering, or related field * Professional Licensure * Experience as an owner's representative within a large (500+) design, engineering, and construction organization * Experience leading a global PMO (Project Management Office) or global internal business consultancy team * Training and teaching skills Facebook is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
