IT Security Engineer - Vulnerability & Threat Management Full time - Direct HireHybrid || Reston, VA / Washington DC Are you an IT Security Engineer, focused on Vulnerability & Threat Management, who has strong written and oral communication skills, excels in team leadership, while being able to plan, implement, and test security systems, prepare security standards, policies, and procedures, and mentor team members? Are you proactive in your mindset and do you enjoy working on the full lifecycle of a vulnerability?Serving as an IT Security Engineer, you will be responsible for using technical knowledge of current attacks to identify flaws and weaknesses in the composition and design of networks, remote access schemes, systems, and applications to specify solutions, verify the solutions that have been implemented, and rapidly adjust designs based on new threat and attack information as acquired. You will also be responsible for providing subject matter expertise on vulnerability risk, remediation, and mitigating actions; partner with System Engineers, Application Development teams, and Architects in remediating the vulnerabilities, while generating and documenting operational processes, procedures, and incident response plans where necessary.This is a full-time permanent opportunity that is in Reston, VA/ Washington DC metro. Bachelor's degree in a related fieldA' . 5+ years' experience working with Vulnerability Management technologiesA' . Experience with performing a risk assessment of vulnerabilities by correlating asset/vulnerability data from various sources.A' . Experience with tools such as Rapid7, Prisma, Kenna, etc.A' . Experience with operating systems (LINUX, Windows, etc.)A' . Experience leading and influencing a team in an inclusive, collaborative environmentA' .
