Specialties include general cardiac consultation, electrophysiology (cardiac arrhythmias), heart failure, cardiac surgery consultation, cardiac transplants evaluation and post-operative care, nurse-run anticoagulation clinic, genetic counseling, and cardiac device management (pacemakers and defibrillators). Types of visits include consultative evaluations, graded and metabolic stress testing, Holter monitoring, and event recordings.? Embedded within the Cardiology Clinic is the Heart Failure Bridge Clinic. The Heart Failure Bridge Clinic provides care and treatment for adult patients with decompensated heart failure. Services include IV diuretics and electrolyte replacement for patients with failure of oral diuresis, titration of routine heart failure medications, symptom monitoring, adjustment of oral diuretics, and follow-up visits.The Ambulatory Services Float Pool provides Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) coverage to Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH) Ambulatory Partnership clinics across the JHH East Baltimore Campus. The Nurse Manager has direct oversight of these five Certified Medical Assistants and is responsible for the personnel management of these employees. The Nurse Manager is responsible for leading the daily morning staffing huddle to determine deployment of the Float Pool, and subsequent communication of assignments to the team. The Nurse Manager is also responsible for tracking/presentation of data metrics relative to the Float Pool utilization across the clinics.As a Nurse Manager in our Ambulatory Department, you will be surrounded by a strong leadership team and given all the tools needed to succeed in your role.The Nurse Manager Provides leadership to achieve unit, departmental, and institutional objectives within a rapidly changing environment. Applies advanced knowledge of nursing and management to manage systems of patient care, personnel development, fiscal and unit operations, performance improvement, and program development. Develops and implements work plans and measures against established standards.Education/Licensure/Experience Requirements: Maryland or compact state RN license Masters of Science or Doctorate Degree in nursing from an accredited school of Nursing 5 years related experience; Cardiology experience strongly preferred Experience should include 3-5 leadership and/or management responsibilitiesJohns Hopkins Health System requires all employees be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
