Senior Manager, Product Management

Do you want to join a team that's dedicated to making risk management a competitive advantage for Capital One? To achieve this imperative for our company, we cannot succeed through a strong framework of governance, risk policies, and requirements alone. We need to deliver solutions that democratize risk management and make it easy for business and risk managers across the company to see how they can deliver value to our customers and shareholders while operating within our risk tolerance.

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is seeking a Sr. Manager, Product Management for Fuse, our internal Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform. With Fuse, we seek to make risk management easier, more intuitive, and more accessible to associates across the company who need to manage risk as they deliver valuable products and services to our customers.

In this role you will lead product teams to design and build this new platform from the ground up. You'll not only create technology solutions, but you'll also challenge and reinvent the methodology for how we manage risk. You'll collaborate with customers to understand how to integrate risk into their management practices in a simple and seamless manner. In short, you'll reimagine how to use technology to transform risk management.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead product teams in the design, development, and delivery of our new platform
  • Partner with Design to research the user experience and identify the value propositions that will have the greatest impact
  • Partner with risk and business leaders across the company to reimagine risk management activities and outcomes
  • Challenge the status quo to identify and champion solutions that make managing risk easier and more embedded into business processes

To be successful in this role, you should have a proven ability to drive product development in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You will lead product, tech, design, and methodology partners to rethink the user experience, and should have an ability to outline compelling and influential proposals. You will need to inspire a team of direct and indirect reports to deliver on the product vision and iterate rapidly through learning cycles.

If you are up for the challenge, you will be in a great position to leave your mark on making risk management a truly competitive advantage for Capital One. Come join us on this exciting journey!

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in Product Management
  • At least 2 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Risk Management related role
  • At least 2 years of experience delivering products in an Agile development process
  • Customer-centric, design thinking approach
  • Experience leveraging machine-learning solutions in the delivery of products
