Senior Associate, Product Marketing & Acquisitions Strategy

Capital One, a Fortune Magazine "100 Best Companies to Work For," is seeking an innovative Senior Associate to drive product acquisition campaigns, creative strategy and learning agendas across owned and paid channels for our Underserved segment of customers looking to build or rebuild their credit. This role is responsible for translating audience insights into marketing plans, building testing agendas and collaborating with partners to build, execute and optimize campaigns. This marketer will be a member of the Underserved Product Marketing team which is responsible for managing the product positioning for our Secured Card products, developing acquisition strategies to help Underserved customers find the right product for them, and building customer management strategies to help customers build or rebuild their credit.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to take your marketing, technical and strategy skills to the next level.
  • Drive ongoing consumer journey-driven campaign execution and testing initiatives for the Secured Card product acquisitions program in digital channels including email, mobile app, SMS and our site
  • Synthesize consumer research insights, marketing trends, competitive landscape, and macro external factors to identify new strategic recommendations to improve marketing and business results and Brand impact
  • Collaborate with business analyst teams to understand total business performance and build on analysis to identify new opportunities and adjust marketing/ testing strategies
  • Serve as key liaison for and collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, channel/performance marketing, product marketing, creative, legal, operations and corporate communications partners
  • Translate and communicate business intent in a directive manner that partner teams can act on
  • Partner with internal and external creative and marketing technology teams to build and scale Secured Card creative testing and optimization to drive lifts in KPIs, particularly conversion metrics including application and funding rates.
  • Champion the brand, ensuring that the strategies and messaging for each of our Secured Card products are in line with their respective audience's needs
  • Write clear and concise creative briefs, test documents, test plans and strategies, driving continued performance and optimization against KPIs across channels


The ideal candidate:
  • Thrives on collaboration with partner teams and is comfortable operating in a large, matrixed organization
  • Is naturally curious, always seeking to know the why behind the why
  • Can manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities, while maintaining excellent and accurate work
  • Is a highly effective communicator and skilled relationship-builder who can influence internal decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking
  • Does not shy away from data but rather leans into it to inform marketing and creative strategy recommendations
  • Continually pushes the boundaries and asks how we can continue to do things better, identifying areas of opportunity


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in product marketing or multi-channel digital marketing
  • At least 2 years developing marketing test frameworks
  • At least 2 years of managing creative processes, partnering with creative and channel teams, and developing creative strategies and briefs


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Marketing, Business or Communications
  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing for financial services or another highly regulated industry
  • At least 2 years of experience driving optimization plans and creative strategy
  • At least 2 years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity
  • At least 1 year of experience working with marketing tech platforms , including data management platforms and/or customer relationship management systems
