Understanding of warehouse technology systems as well as the ability to follow proper manual protocols during any outage. To be successful in this position, the incumbent must be an effective team-builder and leader, be dependable, and have excellent communication, inter-personal, problem-solving, organization and time management skills.The individual in this position is responsible for supervision of the warehouse personnel to include training, scheduling, PTO management, consistent and clear communication with personnel regarding both performance concerns and kudos for performance excellence and annual performance reviews. Motivation of the employees to reach shipping forecast and any other key goals including accuracy and SLAs while working together as a team is a key focus.Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, effectively utilizing manpower to perform receiving and shipping activities while complying with all regulatory requirements including but not limited to safety, clinical, import/export control and financial. Other responsibilities include helping team members solve problems related to routine shipping matters, as well as other related duties of warehouse operations, which may be assigned by the department manager from time to time.Work closely direct manager and other company management to ensure smooth operations, continuous improvement and communicate any challenges for daily operations or risk the must be addressed to meet goals.JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities including scheduling and management of subordinate PTO requests and ensuring adequate personnel for a safe working environment and team productivity. (daily) Supervising, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity, challenges and recommended solutions. (daily) Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations including but not limited to performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds, addressing any concerns, documenting as appropriate and leading by example to ensure a culture of safety. (daily) Ensure the shipment of Rush Orders. (daily) Ensure the accuracy of items shipped the proper packing of shipments to meet assigned shipping methods and to ensure the safety of shipments during transportation. (daily) Ensure the accuracy of items received into inventory and put away as well as the efficient and proper processing of returned goods. (daily) Communicate and collaborate effectively with all channels of the business and vendors. (daily) Provide disciplinary action when necessary and maintain a harmonious teamwork environment. (weekly) Interview new candidates and conduct each team member's yearly performance review. (as needed/scheduled) Review accuracy of timesheet reports including an approval of overtime, tardiness and absence (daily) Encourage and motivate the team members in performing their jobs efficiently as a team, cross-train and help out others when needed. (daily) Support and monitor cycle count process. (daily) Identify problem area and help improve operational procedures where applicable. (daily) Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse, work stations, dumpster area and all other areas of activity. (daily) Must be capable of safely operating forklift and maintain certification to do so. Experience with regulatory requirements regarding import/export controls, radiation safety, chemical storage, clinical products a plus. Previous supervisory and/or team lead experience a plus.
