Duties include: chart review before patient clinical visit; assisting physician with procedures/treatments; equipment operation; assisting patients in preparation for examination/procedure; performs venipuncture; specimen collection and submission to appropriate laboratory; cleaning and sterilization of instrumentation; order and inventory supplies; records and documents in medical record; maintains examination/procedure room supplies; assists with efficient patient flow; assists with orientation of new staff; and participates in quality assurance programs.Requirements:Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED; Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program; Licensure/Certification:AMA, RMA, NRCMA or CCMA certification;AHA Healthcare Provider CPR;Knowledge:Work requires the ability to gather and exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain medical center polices, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or medical center employees.
