MSS Implementation EngineerSpecial Language Requirement: Fluent in English and Spanish BlueVoyant is seeking a client-facing engineer for the design and deployment of security infrastructure to join our internet-scale intelligence and managed security operation.This role is remote as long as based in US (East Coast preferred)What you will doGather relevant information about the client environment and design an appropriate instrumentation strategy.Communicate with clients to finalize instrumentation design and generate bills of materials.Collaborate with clients to onboard log sources into SIEM platforms such as Splunk and Azure Sentinel. Assist customers with deploying endpoint security solutions such as Carbon Black or Microsoft Defender.Write custom scripts leveraging APIs to pull event logs for Saas based applications. Responsibilities:Contribute to all stages of MSS architecture lifecycle, including service ideation, requirements gathering, architecture, implementation, testing, documentation, and support.Refine our MSS methodology based on industry best practices with continuous feedback and well-defined metrics to drive improvementMaintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and MSS best practicesEnsure technical issues are quickly resolved and help implement strategies and solutions to reduce the likelihood of recurrenceIdentify competitive offerings and opportunities for innovation including assessments of risk/reward to the company.Act as tier 3 support for troubleshooting SIEM and EDR platforms. Requirements:Thrive in our small, fast-paced, product-driven environmentFeel comfortable rolling up their sleeves and assisting clients with their technical challenges.Collaborate with teams from across the organizationDeliver features and fixes on tight schedules and under pressurePresent ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly languageCreate systems that are maintainable, flexible and scalableDefine and follow a disciplined development and engineering workflowDemonstrate ownership of tasks with escalation as neededBe a subject matter expert in one or more of the technologies employedRelentlessly push for successful customer outcomesPossess a strong interest or background in cyber securityShows general curiosity for technology and enjoys testing/implementing new toolQualifications:Strong hands-on experience with enterprise technology, such as Palo Alto, Cisco, Sonicwall, and Fortigate.Experience with security platforms such as SIEM and SOAR, NIDS, VMS and packet/netflow capture, HIDS and EDR, etc.Exposed to programming languages such as python, bash and C sharp. Experience leveraging cloudbase infrastructure such as AWS, Azure or GCP.BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field experiencePreferred CompetenciesLinux Administration, Ansible, Splunk, AWS, Azure, Windows AD, DNS, DHCP, Crowdstrike, Carbon Black, Microsoft Defender.
