About The Job: The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the accounts payable and receivable functions for the company including processing customer payments and managing the collection process. This position reports to the Controller. What You Can Expect To Do: A' . Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requestedA' . Create customer invoices and managing the customer files in MarketShartpA' . Log all loan funding payments/transactions; A' . Research and manage any declined payments/bounced checks/etc.A' . Input all AR on an ongoing basis including credit card transactions via (MarketSharp)A' . Reconcile all customer accounts (including refunds in MarketSharp)A' . Work with Production to ensure proper allocation of billing and paymentsA' . Monitor finance expirations (MarketSharp)A' . Assist with account trouble shooting with customers when necessaryA' . Assist the Controller and other interested parties with report analysis when necessaryA' . BA or BS in Accounting, Finance or related field A' . 1-3 years' experience in accountingA' . Advanced QuickBooks proficiencyA' . Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiencyA' . Must have an outstanding attitude, strong work ethic, strong communication skills and be self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to multi-task and balance priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Work Environment and Physical Requirements: This job operated in a professional climate-controlled office environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and converse with employees in the English language. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and machinery, etc. The employee must be able to operate a computer constantly and other office machinery.
