Job Summary/Company: Our client, a foundation dedicated to facilitating constructive relationships between future leaders from the Arab world and the West, is searching for a diligent and proactive Executive Assistant to support its Chairman. This person will manage logistics arrangement for various events, provide calendaring support, draft reports, conduct research, and support other administrative functions as necessary.

  • Developing and maintaining contact with several key aides, contacts, and selected contacts of the Chairman, including high-level officials
  • Coordinating and supervising the staff in the Chairman's Washington, DC home, as well helping organize and supervise any ad-hoc maintenance that needs to be done
  • Drafting and summarizing reports
  • Conducting various types of research
  • Drafting occasional essays, memos, or introductions to various publications under the Chairman's guidance
  • Managing and maintaining the Chairman's schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements while he is in the USA
  • Event development, organizing and managing: working dinners, workshops, roundtables and conferences
  • Developing press releases and promotional material as necessary
  • Managing the administrative, logistical, communicational, and organizational aspects of the Fellowship Program
  • Monitoring and regularly updating the Foundation's social media (Twitter, Facebook, website)
  • Developing and continuing an awareness program on the Foundation and its achievements
  • Compiling a monthly newsletter regarding the Fellowship
  • Undertaking administrative duties of the Foundation
  • Maintaining and overseeing the office including the filing system
Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least five (5) years of progressive Executive Assistant/Personal Assistant experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office - particularly Word
  • Exemplary organizational skills
  • Willingness and ability to pitch in on projects as needed
  • Strong sense of confidentiality, ability to interface with executives at a high level and maintain professionality
  • Proactive nature, with the ability to anticipate problems and articulate/provide solutions
  • Willingness to work long hours and weekend hours as necessary
  • Ability to work cross-culturally; this role will entail extensive interface with the offices in London, UK and Cairo, Egypt
  • Openness to occasional domestic and international travel
