Be involved in projects with our Corporate Communications Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients objectives and solves their challenges.The Communications Associate will support the full range of corporate communications, such as brand marketing, media relations, content creation and channel optimization, influencer engagement and partnerships. The ideal candidate for this role is detail-oriented and experienced at project management. This person combines creativity and critical thinking to meet challenges, possessing the talent to ideate on the spot. This person excels in a fast-paced, inclusive and collaborative environment.Your ImpactDevelop deep knowledge of WSP market sectors and innovations, and transform them to creative, compelling stories for external audiences.Write and edit integrated materials, including pitch letters, news releases, social and digital content, white papers and fact sheet.Develop and execute content strategy for company intranet, website and social media channels, as well as for marketing materials.Execute stakeholder and influencer engagement strategies.Support digital marketing campaigns.Create and maintain media lists, handle media inquiries and pitch media.Research, compile and analyze client media coverage of WSP and competitors.Coordinate communications and graphics support for industry conferences and events.Support various company events, such as webinars and hosted videos.Oversee the work of interns.Assist with preparing and submitting materials for awards and surveys.Assist in the coordination of photo and video shoots.Undertake additional administrative tasks as assigned.Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSPs Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.Who You AreBachelors degree in a relevant field, such as communications, public relations, journalism or marketing.3 to 5 years of demonstrated success in a communications function.Excellent organizational skills.Positive attitude (sense of humor wont hurt!) and assertive personality.Ability to multi-task and adapt to change while meeting deadlines.Superior writing skills (clearly, concisely and PERSUASIVELY), including proficiency with AP style guideAbility to take initiative, anticipate needs of supervisors and business partners and complete assignments with minimal ongoing direction.Digital fluency, particularly in leveraging social media and other platforms to advance communications objectives.Ability to ideate on the spot.Strong presenter and active participant in group discussions.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Prior internship and professional experience in public relations or communications.Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSPs health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.#LI-DT1Additional RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
