If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, you should consider a career in Deloitte's International Tax Services practice.What you'll doAs a Tax Consultant, you will work within an engagement team and draw on experience in accounting and taxation to provide tax compliance and consulting services to multinational clients on the tax implications of their international operations; and you will identify basic, and some complex, tax issues and provide tax analysis and recommendations for these entities and their affiliates. Additional responsibilities will include:Assisting clients with their implementation of specific international tax structures and processes.Overseeing and preparing complex tax computation projects for clients in diverse industries.Researching and preparing materials for consulting projects related to tax planning considerations.Assisting and preparing materials for brainstorming sessions (internal and with clients), including with non-tax stakeholders (eg, treasury, accounting, legal)The teamThe Global Strategies Group is a national specialty group within Deloitte's international tax practice. GSG professionals develop and implement global tax strategies for large multinational corporations that provide long-term sustainable ETR reduction and help mobilize global cash. In general, GSG conducts International Strategic Tax Reviews, manages international restructuring transactions and other more narrowly targeted projects such as foreign tax credit optimization, repatriation planning, treasury planning, disposition planning, and international mergers and acquisition planning. Additionally GSG assists companies in aligning value drivers with income streams in a manner that reduces ETR and mobilize cash.QualificationsRequired:1+ years' experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work, preferably with a focus on international taxationBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related fieldBig 4, public accounting or consulting experienceTravel up to 25% (While 25% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)Limited immigration sponsorship may be availablePreferred:Experience working in a fast-paced, team environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsOne of the following accreditations obtained, or in the process, or must be able/willing to obtain:Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary officeLicensed attorneyEnrolled Agentitstax
