The Sales Development Representative position is designed for a career path into the Enterprise Account Development Rep (aka Account Development Rep) positions. Great for entry-level sales folks /new grads and/or folks who have some prior sales experience but not within the technology sector. Sonatype seeks a high-energy, driven professional with sound business acumen, strong technical aptitude, and natural sales instincts to join the rapidly expanding sales organization. As a Sales Development Rep, you will evangelize Sonatype by identifying and developing new business through inbound and outbound prospecting efforts within a specific territory to drive pipeline growth and territory sales. The Sales Development Representative is an integral part of our inside sales organization, working closely with Inside Sales Reps and Field Marketing Managers to identify target accounts, create and execute attack strategies and drive new conversations with key prospects aligning Sonatype with their business objectives. What you bring to the table: 0-2 years prior B2B sales experience preferred Prospecting skills, cold calling, B2B sales experience (software sales preferred but not required) Knowledge of the software/DevOps/DevSecOps ecosystem is a plus Resourceful self-starter with a "one way or another" mentality to get the job done Driven for results with a positive and motivated attitude Experience with Salesforce, Outreach/SalesLoft or another prospecting acceleration tool, HubSpot, ZoomInfo/DiscoverOrg, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Google Business Suite What to expect: Sonatype offers a clear and defined sales career path on a rapidly growing sales team.
