The Senior Manager for Government Affairs (Safety) is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to advance Stellantis' US political, legislative and regulatory objectives in the areas of motor vehicle safety and advanced technology, including connectivity, software, data privacy and related issues. In advocating for Stellantis' priorities, the Senior Manager will engage members of Congress, Congressional staff, Administration officials and foreign government officials directly and through the company's trade associations and consultants, in coordination with Stellantis External Affairs in other markets and regions as appropriate. They will analyze US and foreign political, legislative and regulatory developments within their areas of expertise and keep internal clients (eg, Technical Safety & Regulatory Compliance, Office of General Counsel, and others) informed of potential impacts on Stellantis. They will draft and edit position papers, Congressional testimony and other materials to convey Stellantis positions internally and externally. They will handle other tasks as assigned. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of Public Affairs.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degreeMinimum ten years of experience working in Congress, the Executive Branch and/or government relations for a company or trade association, with experience in the areas of trade, customs, and supply chain policyKnowledge of trade, customs, and supply chain policyExperience working in Congress, the Executive Branch or government relations for a company or trade association.Knowledge of the US federal legislative and regulatory processPreferred Qualifications:J.D. or other advanced degree in a relevant fieldExcellent writing and presentation skillsAbility to work well independently and as part of a teamStrategicGood judgmentDependableWillingness to travel domestically and internationally
