DescriptionTyler is seeking a Business Development Representativeto join ourFederal Divisionteam. In this role, you willfollow-up on inbound leads, leads obtained at tradeshows, as well asidentify prospects and leads through telemarketing and useof Tyler's CRM system. This is a great position if you have solid phone and persuasion skills and want to break into the world of business-to-government technologysales.Responsibilities Collaborate withmarketingteam forfocusedprospecting to assist in uncovering potential opportunities and create a pipeline of qualified opportunitiesfor the sales team Make cold calls to prospectsand provide calling support for marketing campaignswithin territoriesand for defined product lines. Maintain Microsoft Dynamics CRM with competitor information/contact/statistics Develop understanding of the competitive landscape in thepublic sectormarket andperfectTyler messaging around assigned software product linespertaining to Municipal financial software solutions. Work with leadership on reporting to provide visibility ofcalling and prospecting activities. Assistwith updates to sales Battle Cards, competitor profiles and other competitive intelligencerequests Monitor and report on follow up of qualified leads by Salesreps Develop effective prospecting skills Develop knowledge of territory,key competitors, existing Tyler opportunities/relationships, client satisfaction, and key messaging that will lead to meaningful interactions with potential prospects Partner with sales operations and marketing in updating CRM records to achieve campaign, marketing, analytic and data governance goalsQualifications Bachelor's Degree inBusiness,Marketing or relevant Business or Information Technology field, or comparable work experience. Professional phone demeanor; prior phone and/or customer service experience strongly desired. Previous sales experience a plus Prior exposure to technology/software sales is helpful. Experience with Microsoft CRM a plus Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products Ability to traveloccasionally to trade shows,if required. (less than 10%)
