Accounts Payable/receivable Specialist
AP/AR Specialist in Rockville, MDUp to $30 an hourJob DescriptionAccounts Payable: Review store invoice / purchase order packages for completeness and accuracy Process invoices for payment ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper coding Prepare weekly A/P list for payments Audit the employee expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies Process checks once they have been signed and maintain vendor files Obtain and maintain W9s on vendors; respond to vendor and employee inquiries Reconcile credit cards, employee expenses and FedEx transactions Review vendor statements for exceptions and omissions Mail check payments Log activities and exceptions File paid invoices Follow up with vendors and other employees to resolve open issues and discrepancies Assist team members, as needed, to meet all department deadlines Perform research on payments and outstanding checks, as needed Accounts Receivable: Ensure timely payments to vendors Maintain proper documentation of receivables Prepare month end schedules Apply cash payments Commercial Only Serve as back up for bank deposits and cash receipts, work with other employees to identify and address discrepancies, reconciliations, and communicate with Controller regarding discrepancies Top SkillsExperience working in a government contractor environment with previous knowledge of Govcon ERP 5+ years experience in AP/AR or similar role Proficient within Excel Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent with ten (10) years or AA degree (accounting or bookkeeping) with five (5) + years in finance, accounting or related field Thorough knowledge of A/P, A/R and general ledger Reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 703-279-2413 for more details!About Aston Carter: At Aston Carter, were dedicated to expanding career opportunities for the skilled professionals who power our business.
