The job duties of the Software Design Engineer are as follows: Proven ability to work within an agile and collaborative team environmentAbility to design, develop, test, and deploy Interface functionality Ability to design, develop, test, and deploy Backend functionality In depth knowledge and experience in solution architectureAbility to develop and support APIs Ability to perform IoT Sensor IntegrationIn depth knowledge of Wireframing, Prototyping, Development, Testing, and Deployment using DevSecOps best practicesAbility to work independently, take on commitments, communicate and cooperate to resolve issues and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and oral communications are required to interface with industry partners and customersRequired Clearance:Must be a US Citizen and able to attain government clearance (#clearable)Required Qualifications:The candidate must have a BS in Computer Science (or a related field) and software engineering experience focused on web application development or 5+ years of software engineering experience in lieu of BS degree. Required skills include CSS3, Javascript, AngularJS, Node.js, and HTML5. The applicant must have experience with RESTful APIs and associated tools (such as Postman). Familiarity with microservices architectures and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. Previous experience with IoT sensor technology and protocols is preferred but not requiredDesired Qualifications:Experience and willingness to provide presentations and demonstrations to customers and senior leadership is a plus.
