The Electrical Assembly Design & Verification section in Linthicum, MD enables these hardware solutions by providing RF microwave and mixed signal architecture, design, verification, and support expertise across a wide variety electronic sensor products. Our engineers work on complex, leading edge, high reliability electronics supporting maritime, ground, airborne, and space platforms.Whether you are looking for detailed design, modeling and simulation, hands-on verification testing and troubleshooting, or working with internal or external fabricators and integrators, there is a role for you in our department.NGMS is seeking engineers with experience and interest in software develop and database design including:Develop/manage internal databases schema to supports various hardware design systems and program resources.Structure, transform, and analyze data to gain insights that will provide opportunities to improve business intelligence in hardware design.Develop/Optimize automated test scripts to support verification engineers, and subsystem hardware design.Collaborating with peer functions such as Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and TestDeriving and trading requirements with subsystem engineers and component level designersWorking directly with component level design peers developing custom RF integrated circuit designs to meet assembly-level requirementsSupporting products throughout the product life cycleCollaborating with Test engineers to support in lab verification efforts of measurements and testing.This position is located in Linthicum, MD with easy access to the major cities of Baltimore to the north and Washington DC to the south. The location is a 2 hour drive to the Atlantic Ocean to the east or the Appalachian Mountains to the north and west. The area is rich with activities including historical sites, museums, concerts and performing arts venues, college and professional sports, nightlife, and many outdoor activities most notably boating and fishing on the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding rivers. The department offers opportunities to grow on a technical track both broad and deep as well as explore project leadership or management positions.Candidates will be considered for Level 2 or 3 per the qualifications below.Level 2Basic QualificationsElectrical Engineering or related STEM field degree: Bachelor of Science with 2 years of software experience or Master's degree or 6 years software design experience (relevant coursework will be consideredUS Citizenship is requiredAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Security ClearanceEffective verbal and written communication skillsProductive in a team working environmentLevel 3Basic QualificationsElectrical Engineering or related STEM field degree: Bachelor of Science with 5 years of software experience; Master's degree with 3 years of software experience; or PhD degree; or 10 years software design experience (relevant coursework will be considered)US Citizenship is requiredAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Security ClearanceProven knowledge of software design, and data process skill setsEffective verbal and written communication skillsProductive in a team working environmentPreferred Qualifications:Computer Science degreeRelational database experienceWhite box testingCustomer-focused software developmentProficient with analytical tools such as RRF measurements and testingIn lab experienceSecret clearance or SSBI/SCISalary Range: $78,600 USD - $118,000 USDSalary Range 2: $96,900 USD - $145,300 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
