Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Nursing Director (RN), Critical Care who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Nursing Director (RN), Critical Care you will:
•Be responsible for oversight of Critical Care units including IMCU & Observation Unit
•Collaborate with administrators, physicians, managers and other providers to
facilitate planning, implementation, and evaluation of strategic plan and
initiatives
•Model & encourages professional practice that includes nurse autonomy,
authority, accountability and responsibility within the department
•Oversee development & implementation of care delivery model, establishes
clear expectations based on standards of care defined by their professional &
regulatory organizations
•Execute successfully the established plans and the services through
measurement, monitoring, analysis, reporting, and adjusting the direction,
allocation and utilization of available resources
•Consistent application and deployment of the Mission in Motion principles
(AIDET, purposeful rounding, huddles, bedside shift reports, 10/5 rule, etc.)
•Strategically establishes linkages with other key departments which facilitate
the goals of patient care delivery
•Conduct purposeful counseling/coaching sessions with direct reports for
purposes of professional development (i.e., percent of performance appraisals
done in a timely fashion, one-to-one standing meetings).
•Identify issues to the Chief Nursing Officer and takes an active role in leading
the process improvement initiative to address opportunities for improvement

Qualifications Include:
•Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required
•Master's degree or within 2 years of hire into position
•8 years as RN including 3 years as a nurse leader in the specialty area ; exp. in
systems level leadership
•Current Maryland State nursing license
•Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
