Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Business Analyst to support a Federal Government client at our Charleston, South Carolina location. As a member of the team, the successful candidate will provide business analysis and support services to include the following:

Responsibilities
  • Understand customers' business processes and practices in specifically assigned areas.
  • Support project initiatives utilizing project management methodology
  • Research and analyze legal/regulatory requirements directed by OMB, Treasury, GSA, etc.
  • Working with the Project Lead, document the "as-is" process to determine if a process can be streamlined, consider improvement options, including automation, and present to management.
  • Update or create, as appropriate, documentation to support the Global Financial Operations directorate (GFO).
  • May be involved with identifying training requirements, conducting training, and reviewing/preparing documentation.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills when working with GFO staff, bureaus, agencies and posts.
  • Comply with ISO-9001 requirements and support objectives.

Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS in financial management, business administration or a combination of courses and related work experience and at least 3 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in presenting business process solutions in an easy to understand manner for the client in both verbal and written form
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at the same time
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and responsibilities while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Self-starter with initiative to identify problem areas and recommend solutions
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in DoS financial management is highly desired, but not required.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • PMP certification

Clearance
All applicants for this position must be able to obtain a certification of a Moderate Risk Public Trust issued by DoS; please note that the clearance process takes into account both criminal and financial background aspects.
