Description SVP Finance and AdministrationBase to $275,000 plus benefits My client is a well-funded DC metro based private family foundation with assets in excess of $500 million. They are looking to hire their first SVP Finance and Administration to report to the President overseeing a team covering finance, accounting, IT and HR. Responsibilities will include:. Provide leadership with timely reporting and analysis to enhance the quality of decision-making across the organization.. Lead the preparation of the Foundation's weekly internal financial reports for multiple entities, including cash flow analysis and financial projections. . Oversee employees executing the Foundation's day-to-day financial management covering all areas of finance and accounting, including A/P and A/R. . Plan and manage the organization's cash flow needs and managed employees to execute investment transactions.. Oversee employees charged with preparing filings of the annual IRS Form 990 and other federal requirements for multiple entities.. Develop and implement financial workflow processes to drive greater automation across financial activities.. Review current financial systems to identify new platform(s) and/or tools to automate and make more efficient the foundation's approach to accounting and financial management.. Oversee the administration of the grants process, including employees charged with organizing, reviewing, processing, tracking, and transmitting grant letters and funds from the Foundation.. Help hire and oversee the contractor managing the HR function and provide strategic guidance on issues related to compensation and benefits.. Oversee the employee managing the Foundation's properties (land, buildings, and vehicles) and ensure relevant documentation and policies are in place.. Oversee IT support from a third-party vendor to ensure the Foundation's hardware and software is properly maintained and secured.. Oversee strategic projects as needed, including ad hoc research, specialized reports, and Board of Directors meetings.. Oversee compliance with IRS rules for 501(c)3 organizations, including accounting among all related entities.To be considered for this high-profile opportunity, you should ideally possess a BS degree, CPA or MBA, minimum 5+years prior senior-level NFP financial leadership. In-depth knowledge of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury and investments, tax, strategic planning, internal controls, data analytics, and payroll and accounting systems required.
