Sr. Manager, Chief of Staff - Emerging Merchant Businesses

Our tech transformation created the opportunity for our Card business to accelerate the growth in emerging businesses-and create new opportunities for growth. While we will continue to invest in new opportunities across our business, we believe that with the right structure and leadership, we can create even more momentum by bringing some of them together into one dedicated organization. As such, we've created a newly formed team, called Emerging Merchant Businesses, that will oversee these initiatives. As a member of the Chief of Staff Team for Emerging Merchant Businesses (EMB), you will be responsible for implementing and delivering the strategy across this newly formed division of Retail and Consumer Bank. You will provide critical thought leadership to the head of EMB to best drive synergy, coordination, and impact across various functional areas - operations, finance, process improvement, HR, communications, and risk. Together with the head of EMB, you will be responsible for the growth and earnings of each segment.

As a Sr. Manager, Chief of Staff at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the company.   • Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
  • Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership style
  • Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes


Basic Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 4 years of Project Management experience
  • At least 1 year of People Management experience


Preferred Qualifications :
  • Master's Degree or MBA Degree
  • 6+ years of Project Management experience
  • 3+ years of People Management experience
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
