Director - Cyber Fraud Intelligence (Remote-Eligible)

Capital One's Cyber Fraud intelligence team is to counter cyber-enabled fraud across the Capital One ecosystem. We are looking for someone who is forward thinking, with experience in large scale cyber-enabled or complex financial fraud/anti-money laundering (AML) investigations, for a growth opportunity as our Cyber Fraud Intelligence leader.

You thrive working cross-functionally and understand how to proactively identify areas for cooperation. We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, to include writing for diverse audiences, ability to work collaboratively and building consensus. Additionally, this role requires understanding of how to prioritize investigations and resources, focusing team efforts to meet decision making needs. You will lead teams, spanning the operational, intelligence and regulatory spectrum, to work collectively with an array of internal stakeholders, private sector partners, and government entities.

Responsibilities:
  • Providing guidance and direction to teams regarding investigative priorities and strategy in alignment with business priorities.
  • Iterating and providing feedback to improve reporting, operations, fraud controls, and collection requirements.
  • Building productive relationships with internal teams to resolve significant fraud abuse across Capital One's business.
  • Communicating investigative outcomes and conclusions to a variety of audiences, including company leadership and business partners.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 7 years of experience conducting investigations into cyber-enabled fraud or cybercrime.
  • At least 3 years of experience developing and executing investigative strategies.
  • At least 3 years of people leadership experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of experience in complex financial crime/AML investigations.
  • 3+ years of experience investigating cybercriminal tactics, techniques and procedures impacting the financial services industry.
  • 1+ year of experience with networking concepts and open-source intelligence.
  • 1+ year of experience with Amazon Web Service cloud concepts and resources.
