Principal Associate, Integrated Payables Marketing Strategist & Project Manager

Capital One, one of Fortune Magazine's "100 best companies to work for" is seeking a Principal Associate to fill a position within the Commercial Bank Marketing organization to drive marketing strategy and campaigns across multiple channels for prospects and clients. Our team is at the forefront of a critical strategic imperative where we are launching a robust and innovative product for our business customers into the market. We lead the end-to-end product marketing strategy focused on understanding our target customer, their needs and delivering this product into the market. The role will flex muscles of traditional B2B marketing strategy, digital channels, and some 1:1 marketing tactics (ie., events, collateral, sales materials) as well as project management to ensure we meet critical deadlines. The ideal candidate will have experience developing and executing B2B marketing campaigns. To be successful, the candidate will need to work across multiple marketing channels and build powerful relationships and storytelling abilities across the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with business leads or proxies and brand partners to develop and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns to address their strategic needs across the marketing funnel.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with business stakeholders, sharing the marketing support provided across the business, along with KPIs and progress against those KPIs.
  • Develop high-impact, integrated marketing campaigns across the marketing funnel. Efforts should be focused on executing marketing strategies to meet business strategy,
  • Craft clear and strategic briefs that empower marketing partners and channels to produce their best output for the business objectives.
  • Provide Brand Strategy team with the inputs needed to develop brand positioning, naming and go-to-market strategies for new products, and partner with them to successfully sell-in that work.
  • Establish campaign metrics and identify insights to inform or advance positioning and claims, product strategy, and marketing plans. Inform internal and partner teams of all key customer KPIs and qualitative feedback and contribute to regular action-driven plans to impact those drivers.
  • Identify marketing opportunities throughout our go-to-market strategies. Manage marketing requests coming in from LOB, ensuring that those requests match up with overall business goals, partnering with teams to ensure that they have capacity to produce requested assets, managing expectations of the LOBs on timing and prioritization.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team (business partners, brand strategy, creative teams, events team, content team, tech team, legal, compliance, etc) and provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery.
  • Develop a knowledge of available channels (email, web, content, social media, collateral, events, advertising) and tools (including Google suite and self-serve tools such as Tableau), how they work, well-managed processes, brand standards, etc.
  • Bring a customer-first mindset and have excellent communication and partnership skills, which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders to manage, inform and influence outcomes.
  • Anticipate the reactions of stakeholders and come to the table prepared with potential solutions and thoughtful responses


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 3 years of Marketing Strategy and/or Brand Strategy experience
  • At least 3 years of project management experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of Marketing Strategy and/or Brand Strategy experience
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with partners, leadership and executives
  • Strong project management and prioritization experience
  • Experience with a variety of marketing channels
  • Experience with driving strategy of launching new products in market
  • High learning agility with an analytical, creative, and innovative approach
