Westat is seeking a Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist to join its Talent Management and Development team. In this role you will focus on full life cycle recruiting support for internal and external opportunities. In addition to your recruiting responsibilities, you will also collaborate with the team leads for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Learning and Development (L&D) to implement, launch and administer innovative programs.
Westat is based in Rockville, Maryland and supports a Hybrid (partial teleworking arrangement) of 1-4 days on-site.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the full life cycle recruiting process for a variety of Westat roles. This will include opening new roles, manager intake sessions, resume review, screening, interviewing, reference checks, offer preparation and negotiation.
- Complete all required compliance documentation, ensuring pre-hire files are complete.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Talent Management and Development to create long-term staffing strategies.
- Proactively recruit candidates to Westat by being active on social media forums, attending career fairs, visiting local college campuses or universities and other creative methods to locate qualified individuals.
- Regularly assess opportunities to make the administration processes more efficient through automation or elimination of non-value-added procedures.
- Support college recruiting and internship programs.
- Collaborate on the development of diversity recruiting strategies, engaging with Westat's Employee Resource Groups.
- Support DEI and L&D with new program rollouts and project support.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate's degree and 7 years of full life cycle recruitment experience; or a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of full life cycle recruitment experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of OFCCP-compliant recruiting.
- Experience with social media recruiting.
- Experience working in a federal contractor or professional services environment.
