Westat has a new opportunity available for a Project Accountant to work in our newly centralized project setup team. The Project Accountant's strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be key to ensure project set-up will meet internal and external requirements in an efficient and consistent manner.

This role is eligible for a Hybrid work arrangement, supporting 2 days on-site, 3 days from home office.

Job Responsibilities:
•    Project setup and maintenance for all projects within Deltek Costpoint, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and internal policies and procedures regarding revenue recognition and billing.
•    Attend project kick-off meetings for new awards.
•    Communicate effectively with all levels of Westat employees regarding project status, data maintenance, etc.
•    Respond and take timely action to all requests.
•    Process large volume of data with efficiency and accuracy.
•    Daily interface with members of Contracts, Billing, Project Control representatives.
•    Assist with other reporting requirements as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
•    Minimum 0-2 year's related experience.
•    Software experience with Excel, Microsoft Teams.
•    Awareness of handling sensitive corporate and project information.
•    Candidates with a pending graduation date by June 2022 will be considered, must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting or Finance.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience with government contract projects (Cost Plus, Firm Fixed Price, Time and Materials).
•    Experience with Deltek Costpoint, specifically usage of Projects and Billing modules.
•    Experience with project accounting functions, revenue or billing functions.
