A collaborative spirit is essential to success in this role. Leading and mentoring staff at various experience levels are crucial aspects of this position, as is the ability to effectively manage operational needs such as budgeting, technology and logistics. This deputy will also share managerial duties with senior photo management to build strong visual storytelling partnerships across the newsroom and run a high-performing, fast-paced team.

This position is based in our Washington newsroom and is not eligible for remote work. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.
