Facilities Management at the University of Maryland, College Park seeks a Coordinator, Life Safety Systems who would be responsible for the inspection, testing, & maintenance of fire alarm systems and related life safety equipment. Incumbents work under general supervision, performing a variety of complex electronics, electrical, and technical activities, while complying with numerous code and safety regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or GED with at least 8 yrs of related experience including specialized training and education.
2. Must possess and maintain a Class C driver’s license or equivalent with fewer than 6 points. Experience must include familiarity with NFPA 70 and NFPA 72. Must also be familiar with other standards for systems that are connected to fire alarm systems monitoring & control. Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to prepare reports and detailed procedures; to use personal computers; to lead and train others in technical electronics support work.

Starting salary range is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
