This position oversees the maintenance and repair of water and wastewater infrastructure; prepares wastewater schedule and long-range goals; receives, evaluates, and delegates service calls from dispatchers; inspects and monitors progress of work groups, verifying compliance with safety regulations policies, productivity, construction practices and installations in accordance with ACSA construction specifications; provides mentoring and coaching in the field; assists in capital job lay-out, scheduling and ordering of materials; documents and verifies employee leave time and overtime; and serves as the senior leader in the Maintenance Department in the absence of the Operations Manager.

Applicant must have a valid Virginia Driver’s License with a Class-A CDL and Tankers endorsement, Virginia Flaggers, Valid Class 5 Water License or greater, Intermediate Work Zone Certification, Asbestos Supervisor, First Aid/CPR/AED Certification, and Forklift Certification. High School Degree supplemented by 5+ years’ related experience. Physical and sensory skills required, including confined space entry, and the ability to lift 100 pounds. Ability to wear a respirator and all required personal protective equipment without any physical limitations. On call to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Hiring Range:  $67,163 - $83,954
