Primary Purpose

Provides overall administrative support to the Finance group, including billing, finance, and accounts

payable.

Responsibilities
  • Provides a full range of department's administrative duties, which includes organizing, scanning, maintaining and saving Billing invoices and Accounts Payable vouchers to support electronic record keeping.
  • Updates and maintains Billing team's distribution lists and Accounts Payable team's vendor lists and folders; assists with filing and storage cabinets
  • Assists in organizing accounting policies, procedures & documentation; posts them on Emmes Intranet page when needed; assists in organizing Emmes Intranet Accounting page, making sure all records are up-to-date
  • Interfaces with Emmes employees, clients, vendors and professional contacts with inquiries and responses, acts as both gatekeeper and liaison
  • Works closely with and assists the Accounting Manager with regards to company's corporate credit card distribution, credit card holders' account settings and needs.
  • Assist with coordinating department's calendar, meeting scheduling, event planning and overall calendar & schedule management
  • Initiate deeper understanding of daily used software tools such as Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat Reader and basic Deltek Costpoint tools; assists accounting staff to leverage these tools
  • Other ad hoc job duties as assigned

Experience
  • BS degree in related area preferred, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and strong time management skills
  • Knowledge of basic financial principals
  • Billing experince in GovCon or Contruction
  • Costpoint Experince Preferred
