Qualifications:
Education: High School degree required. Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of job-related work experience.
- Experience in the public education sector is preferred.
- Work experience must include extensive and excellent computer software skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; use of online time-and-attendance software, online invoice and payment software, Google calendar and Google documents, use of Zoom video, etc.
Essential Functions:
- Helps manage the HR budget, including travel reimbursement, ordering of materials and supplies, and other items as requested.
- Coordinates meetings and activities in support of assigned HR tasks and activities.
- Receives calls for assistance and takes appropriate actions, and/or directs to appropriate division staff for resolution.
- Maintains a wide variety of files, contracts, and records (confidential/non-confidential) to provide documentation in accordance with administrative and legal requirements.
- Develops, disseminates, and maintains standards for department memos, PowerPoints, agendas, project plans, newsletters, flyers, etc.
- Provides guidance and support to the HR lobby and reception area.
- Manages requests for temporary staff services and maintains coordination with staffing agencies.
- Prepares a wide variety of written materials (e.g., Board memos, PowerPoint slides, reports, letters, meeting minutes, etc.) to support the executive director.
- Researches a wide variety of topics (e.g., current practices, policies, education codes, etc.) to provide information for addressing various administrative requirements.
- Responds to a wide variety of inquiries from internal and external parties (e.g., staff, parents, students, public agencies, etc.) to provide information, facilitate communication among parties, and/or provide direction.
- Assists other personnel as may be required to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Human Resources
Funding:
- This is a grant-funded position.
On-site Work Requirement:
- Onsite work attendance is required. Applicant must be able to work in the physical office (1340 Braddock Place) during a regular five-day workweek.
- Mask wear may be required. Compliance is required with public health requirements as directed.
Clearances:
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.
- Tuberculosis Skin Test.

- Proof of COVID vaccination. Exemptions for religious/medical will be reviewed.
- Must follow safety and health protocols.
