White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist for Critical Care/Cardiology you will:
• Comprehensive medication management including: Participating in patient care rounds, Medication dosing per protocol (vancomycin, aminoglycosides, warfarin), Medication related consults, Therapeutic drug monitoring, Antibiotic stewardship, Participating in emergency codes, Assist with medication reconciliation, and Patient and family counseling.
• Review and verify physician orders for appropriateness
• Training and education of healthcare providers, pharmacists, and nurses on medication topics
• Quality improvement and research related to Critical Care
• Serves as the medication safety leader for ICU patients by identifying and reporting potential adverse drug events, resolving existing ones and developing process improvements to reduce and/or prevent medication errors
• Assist with protocol development, guidelines, order sets, and policies & procedures related to safe and effective medication use in ICU
• Precepting students and residents
• Participation in Critical Care committee, Code Committee and other committees as assigned by manager

Qualified candidates will possess:
• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from accredited college of pharmacy
• With ASHP accredited Residency (preferred)
• PGY-1 residency or Minimum of 3 years of clinical pharmacy experience in the area of specialty (Critical Care/Cardiology)
• Board Certification and PGY2 Residency preferred (Critical Care/Cardiology)
• Prior experience precepting students and residents
