Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group in collaboration with a public accounting, tax and global consulting firm, is searching for a professional and proactive IT Audit Senior Associate to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years prior auditing experience, hold an active secret clearance or can obtain one. The Associate will be responsible for facilitating resolution on varied complex audit issues. They will provide assistance and support to ensure that risks are identified, and appropriate audit steps are implemented. Responsibilities:
  • Participate in executing complex information technology related and audits for the company and subsidiaries
  • Prepare and conduct audit plans; identify potential audit issues by considering impact and assessing related risks
  • Conduct audit activities including audit scoping and execution and SOX audits
  • Use appropriate data and analytical tools during the multiple phases of audit delivery
  • Review and evaluate financial risk, reporting, accounting transactions and processes
  • Perform relevant testing based on the risks and processes associated with the area being audited
  • As a lead, develop influential relationships and promote strong internal control environment
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and clients at all levels, develop and present recommendations on operations and controls for the company
  • Perform other peripheral tasks as need/required

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Position requires US Citizenship
  • Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology or related field is required
  • 2+ years of in auditing, accounting and/or IT experience
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office applications, importantly Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience working with Federal clients is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of audit methodologies to develop and produce deliverables accurately and timely
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data; analyze and interpret complex reports
  • Prioritize workflow and manage multiple deadlines within required time constraints
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to travel 25%, throughout the year
