Business Development Coordinator sought for a super-boutique law firm based in Washington DC; the firm prides itself on its collegial and entrepreneurial culture and providing work-life balance.

The attorneys you will be working with are marketing savvy and value their business development colleagues.

In this position, you'll be assisting with event planning, marketing efforts, and business development activities.

Duties include:

Events: Conduct event venue research and coordination of event management and logistics; provide support for, and execution of, firm-hosted webinars and other in-person or virtual events; and coordinate marketing needs for firm-sponsored events.

Marketing: Coordinate and submit advertisements, logos, and other materials as needed for sponsorships and other external activities; develop and distribute email marketing communications in partnership with the Business Development Managers and other Coordinators; coordinate blog posts and add to firm blogs; develop and update marketing collateral; assist in development and production of Diagnosing Health Care podcast and Thought Leaders in Health Law video series and; assist in coordination and production of annual update for the Telemental Health Laws app.

Business Development: produce pitch materials and RFP responses for the firm's practice groups; prepare detailed research and analyses of targets, run conflict reports, and drafting and editing materials; and monitor and track trends and report results; create compelling PowerPoint pitches to support pitch meetings and presentations; conduct research on targets and presenting that information to the firm's attorneys; populate, and assist in the management of, the experience database and client list, and provide other database needs, as necessary.

Job Requirements

Best candidates will have:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, English, or Communications
  • 1 - 3 years' experience in a law firm or professional services organization
  • Team player with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proofing and copy editing skills are critical to the role's success
  • Ability to work professionally with the firm's attorneys and to take initiative when working with other staff
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, self-directed, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Willing and able to work overtime, as needed
