We are looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to support the revenue accounting operations & journal entry/ close and reporting processes for TWP's content licensing and SaaS/Professional services and Zeus Technology businesses.

About the Role

We are looking for a smart, ambitious, and experienced Revenue Accountant with SaaS and licensing revenue experience to support the ArcXP, Zeus Technology and content licensing revenue streams. This opportunity requires an experienced individual with high attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and an enthusiastic attitude. Candidates must have the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities, thrive in a highly driven fast-paced environment, enjoy learning new skills, procedures, and systems, and have an overall desire to contribute to company growth. Candidates must also have experience in SaaS revenue accounting, SaaS metrics/reporting & SaaS revenue recognition.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage revenue recognition process ensuring all contract revenue is recorded in compliance with GAAP (ASC 606) in coordination with multiple departments to collaborate on issues and business developments
  • Assist with month and year end closing procedures
  • Reconciliations of accounts, including deferred and unbilled revenue, bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts as assigned
  • Revenue accrual journal entries
  • Performing analysis on accounts receivable and credit adjustment reserves
  • Prepare monthly accounts receivable aging and analysis; and yearly receivable write off report for manager review
  • Assists with various receivable and revenue related projects when assigned, including ad hoc reporting and changes to workflows
  • Maintain accounting compliance by understanding current and proposed US GAAP regulations
  • Assist with accounting projects as needed, including month-end close and annual external and internal audits
  • Maintain and update internal process documentation for existing accounting procedures and policies.
  • Prepare annual audit schedule and perform special project, analysis, and ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Support general ledger accounting functions including but not limited to journal entry preparation, month-end close processes, financial reporting accuracy, account reconciliations, and flux analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform ad hoc tasks under the supervision of the manager, as needed


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a field relevant to the position's requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in Accounting/Finance as an Accountant or Senior Accountant, including SaaS revenue experience.
  • A demonstrated thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial concepts, especially ASC 606 and ASC 340
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel skills required; experience with Salesforce, FinancialForce, Oracle and Blackline preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and organized in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment is a requirement
  • Strong communication skills are required
