Senior Analyst, Capital Markets Operations

Capital One Corporate Treasury is looking for a Senior Analyst who has strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills and exceptional attention to detail to join the Payments Team within Operations. The Senior Analyst is responsible for helping to mitigate risks in Treasury's payment processes and executing payments in Finance. Execution of wires originating from across all of Finance will give the candidate the opportunity to learn and understand different functions in Finance that involve payments. As a member of the Payments team, the Senior Analyst will play an active role in creating, setting up, and changing procedures as necessary and managing the reporting and monitoring of health metrics related to wires. The individual will also engage across other areas of Treasury Operations to help advance Treasury payment processes to the target future state.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute payment requests accurately and efficiently
  • Produce comprehensive and real-time risk reporting and monitoring, including payment health metrics
  • Manage risks of incorrect payments by ensuring team processes are governed by enhanced controls that meet updated payment standards
  • Support risk management activities over enhanced control environment, including procedures maintenance, control testing, and process-level assessments
  • Coordinate with Finance Risk Management and other risk offices on best payment practices across Finance
  • Reduce operational exceptions and drive efficiencies via automation, elimination, and transfer of processes away from manual touchpoints
  • Assist with recurring standard settlement instruction validation and recertification
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as necessary


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of Financial Services experience


Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience working in Capital Markets
  • At least 2 years of experience in payments processing, financial analysis, operations, reporting, risk management or a combination
  • High attention to detail
  • Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), National Check Payments (NCP), or Certified Purchasing Card Professional (CPCP)
