HRL serves a highly diverse population of approximately 6,200 students, the majority of which are undergraduates living in over 40 traditional, suite, and apartment-style residence halls on three campuses within the vibrant Northern Virginia area. HRL employs over 170 full-time and graduate staff members and over 350 undergraduate student staff members. Responsibilities:The Procurement and Asset Control Coordinator (PACC) provides support of all FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment) for Housing & Residence Life. This includes the purchase, audit/condition, replacement, and/or refurbishing of items, as well as tracking items via Microsoft Excel Inventory spreadsheet. The PACC will work with Housing Professionals to implement the Furniture, Asset, and Operations Supplies Inventory module of MPULSE (the Housing maintenance management system). The PACC provides Asset Inventory Tracking support for the Housing Operations Housekeeping Supplies. Additionally, the PACC supports specific Housing Operations contractual agreements. Primary Areas of Responsibilities:Procurement Planning - Contracting, Procurement and Renewal;Asset Management - Inventory, Placement and Control;Other Contract Management and Procurement;Departmental duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Business Management or a closely related field, and demonstrated full time experience in Procurement, Inventory Management, Space Planning or Business Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience;Demonstrated collaborative and customer service skills;Ability to work with and support colleagues in an open, information-sharing environment; patience and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with Housing stakeholders, Mason cohorts and external suppliers;Demonstrated fluency with MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word; experience with Visio, CAD or other floor planning/space software a plus;Demonstrated ability to identify, retrieve, investigate and evaluate information and data from numerous sources, and compile for upper management review;Demonstrated managerial skills and the ability to supervise and collaborate with a team; ability to identify team strengths and delegate/distribute tasks with effectiveness and efficiency;Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated full time experience in Procurement, Inventory Management, Space Planning or Business Management;Experience in University Housing, Housing Management, Inventory Management or related field;Working knowledge of the Mason Purchasing & Bid process, eVA (Virginia online procurement system), or an inventory tracking system a plus. Three to five years of experience is preferred.
