Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a Voucher Examiner to support a Federal Government Client at our Charleston, South Carolina location. The Voucher Examiner will provide Voucher Examination services in the Post Support Unit (PSU).

Responsibilities
  • Review invoices and statements including verifying information, ensuring sufficient funds have been obligated, and if questionable, resolving with the submitting unit, determining accounts involved, coding transactions, and processing material through data processing for application in the accounting system
  • Analyze and reconcile documentation with operating unit reports including contacting units, researching causes of discrepancies and taking action to ensure that accounts balance
  • Analyze and reconcile financial system reports
  • Provide Customer support via e-mail and telephone to the embassy finance staff
  • Perform examinations for accuracy, adequacy of documentation or citations, compliance with regulations, and justification of vouchers, invoices, claims, and other requests for payment of goods and services provided to or by the Government
  • Perform a quality control analysis of all payment documents, ensure timely acceptance and approval of all vouchers and monitor Prompt Payment requirements
  • Embassy expereince preferred

Required Qualifications
  • HS/GED; AA/AS or BA/BS desired
  • 2 years of experience in the area of financial processes
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Very good analysis and problem solving skills
  • Very good MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Access, Excel)
  • Knowledge of the procedures and regulations required to examine and process invoices, vouchers, and related documents
  • Knowledge of applicable schedules, procurement instructions and procedures, travel regulations, commercial practices, trade customs and terminology, general terms and provisions of standardized forms of Government contracts, foreign currency, weight conversion tables, etc.

HS/GED; AA/AS or BA/BS desired

Clearance
Public Trust; Non US Citizens will need to submit the following documents: (1) United States Social Security Card and a Certified Birth Certificate, (2) Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) - legible easy to read front/back and (3) Special Immigrant Visa with an I-551 Stamp.
