We are looking for someone who can help direct, inspire and operationalize our internal creative team to deliver great work that meets our business initiatives. This role will lead a multi-faceted creative team acting as the focal point for our internal clients and key stakeholders. Responsible for managing and building our creative team to lead with a 'design-thinking' approach to help simplify and consolidate efforts across all marketing touch points. This role will report to the VP of Digital Marketing to deliver a digital-first approach to creative and brand strategy evolution. The ideal candidate is an innovator and creative problem-solver coupled with a system mindset for operational excellence and organizational scale.

Preference for candidates local to our headquarters in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities include:

Strategy
  • Oversee and develop digital-first, innovative creative work across channels and customer touchpoint
  • Simplify complex marketing challenges and business goals into visually compelling one-offs and holistic campaigns
  • Develop system approaches that deliver differentiated work

Innovation
  • Evolve and uplevel our work to be differentiated - the work matters, big and small deliverables needed to be threaded together
  • Drive evolution of brand standards and partnership with key decision makers
  • Innovate where possible and determine when to set standards and systems that enable faster time to market

Operations
  • Support cross-functional collaboration in development, approvals and executions of deliverables
  • Manage an efficient, creative process that brings organizes team for output, creates transparency of work status and prioritization
  • Prioritize creative projects and resources across brands based on short- and long-term needs while delivering work of impact
  • Build operational excellence for team tied to results, ensure quality

Management
  • Infuse, iterate and evolve the creative philosophy and the standard of output across the in-house agency
  • Continually engage creatives in career development and career pathing
  • Manage and oversee a geographically dispersed creative team and agency partner network
  • Creative services team includes art direction, design, web design, multi-media production, event and executive, corporate storytelling


Qualifications:
  • 10+ years creative leadership experience
  • Seasoned team manager with a distributed team. Proven ability to scale
  • Bachelor's Degree required
