Westat is seeking an individual to participate in conducting mixed methods studies working with government scientists from FDA, CDC, BLS and other agencies in health communication and chronic disease, This individual will assist in managing the day-to-day activities of ongoing research involving protocol development, questionnaire design, cognitive/usability testing, data collection, and analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
• Working with the client and project staff to develop and test study materials, managing recruitment and data collection, conducting analysis, and
preparing reports and/or manuscripts.
• Managing cognitive/usability testing, including working with project staff, recruiters, and panel vendors.
• Design questionnaires, protocols, and other study materials.
• Contribute to technical proposals for government agencies.
Basic qualifications:
• A PhD in psychology, sociology, anthropology health policy/communications and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing and analyzing epidemiological study data is required.
Preferred qualifications:
• Expertise in survey qualitative methods and analysis with a focus on topics such as tobacco and chronic disease,
Strong oral and written communication skills, administrative abilities, and the capability to handle multiple tasks while working in a team setting are essential.
