Job Summary:
Westat is seeking an Event Support Specialist in support of our staff's conferencing needs using various conferencing services. The person in this role must be a self-starter, have a desire and aptitude to own the assigned tasks and projects, as well as provide direction on new technologies.

Westat is seeking an Event Support Specialist in support of our staff's conferencing needs using various conferencing services. The person in this role must be a self-starter, have a desire and aptitude to own the assigned tasks and projects, as well as provide direction on new technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide daily operational and technical support of video conferences and virtual meetings primarily using MS Teams, Webex, and Zoom.
- Responsible for video conference scheduling, creating & managing user accounts, and escalating issues to appropriate teams, when necessary.
- Assist in the setup and support of Web Conferencing meetings using various platforms and technologies.
- Provide assistance to staff with web conferencing related issues and facilitate resolutions.
- Work with outside vendors to resolve issues and perform updates/upgrades, as needed.
- Document and report on the various conferencing platforms, their usage, and associated costs.
- Assist with the development and writing of training materials, FAQs, and other documentation.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate Degree, or higher, and 2 years of relevant experience is required.
- In depth working knowledge of the latest communications platforms including MS Teams, Webex, Zoom and other platforms.
- Candidate must be able to work in a team-oriented environment, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service expertise.
- Ability to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities.
- Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate and evaluate activities in multiple areas simultaneously.
- Prior experience with video conferences and virtual meetings in a large corporate environment.
- Proficiency in using MS Office products (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.).
